It's an odd quirk of geography, but the annual EAA Mid East Regional Fly In (MERFI) is held in the heart of the area known as the American Midwest! - In truth it's more of a historical anomaly, but confusing none the less.

This year the weather was beautiful, and the attendance consequently high. There was a photographer on hand too (Tom Beech) making official pictures of aircraft at the event.
