One of the positive things about traveling for a living is that you get to meet a lot of Bucker people!
I had a layover in Chicago the other week and met with Bucker owner Alan Abel. He gave me a tour of his aviation friendly grass airport in Hinkley, Illinois. Lots of antiques, homebuilts and sailplanes.....and of course his Bucker!
Alan is in the process of overhauling the front end of his Jungmann. This includes a new fiberglass cowling that blends the original Walter Minor nosebowl with a Menear/Lycoming cowl. The result should be very appealing to the eye.
A fine visit indeed with a true Bucker enthusiast.
